Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a "life force energy,” and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced.
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health.
During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain. Once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow.

Reiki massage combines both Reiki and a Swedish (regular) massage. Typically done with light pressure and lotion/oils, the objective is to achieve deep relaxation so that the body may begin to “heal itself.” Like Reiki, I work within your energy field to remove any blockages and stagnation of energy, all while incorporating light strokes and tissue manipulation for relaxation and stress relief.
Acupressure is based on one the most ancient principles of healing - that simply touching a specific point on the body will release stress and improve health in the body. Similar to acupuncture (without a needle) during an acupressure session I apply firm pressure directly to the pressure points associated with your symptoms, which relieves muscle tension and improves circulation. This simple and powerful technique has been shown to alleviate many ailments including headaches, insomnia, anxiety, allergies and more.
(In order to effectively cater to your ailments, a 30 minute session is not available as this will require an assessment prior to receiving acupressure.)
Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. If you are suffering from a decreased range of motion, chronic pain/tension or recovering from a previous injury, this modality is for you.
We will begin with a range of motion assessment in order to effectively target the muscles we will be focusing on. The assessment will be kept on file for future appointments to track progress.
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of massage therapy. The word Shiatsu comes from two Japanese words - "shi" (finger) and "atsu" (pressure). In addition to the direct stimulation of pressure points along the energy pathways of your body, gentle stretching techniques are applied over a wider area of the body to integrate the point work and encourage the flow of Chi (energy) throughout the body.
